From OXID to Shopify. In the middle of the season.

For Munich-based premium fashion label Ana Alcazar, we moved a-n-a.com from OXID eShop to Shopify in three months: PIM and ERP connected, three languages, live since 5 November 2025.

The project

Fashion needs more than a shop.

Ana Alcazar stands for feminine premium fashion from Munich. The existing shop ran on OXID eShop: grown over years, increasingly hard to maintain and no longer up to the demands of a season-driven fashion business.

In three months we rebuilt a-n-a.com on Shopify and brought order to the system landscape: the PIM leads product data and feeds the shop automatically, the ERP delivers stock, shipping and invoices through one interface, Klaviyo handles email and newsletters. Three languages are maintained centrally in one shop.

The fashion logic lives in the details: seasonal collections of around 200 items, sizes as variants with a uniform price, 18 SEO categories and 21 buying-guide pages from neckline shapes to a size finder. At go-live, 170 redirects protected the rankings built up over years.

Process

Three months to cutover.

1
Kick-off & system map
August 2025: replace OXID, bring order to the system landscape. The PIM defined as the leading system for product data, ERP interfaces planned.
2
Build
Shopify theme on a proven base with a cleanly separated custom code layer, PIM sync with image pipeline, ERP connection, three languages, SEO and buying-guide pages.
3
Go-live
5 November 2025, in the middle of the season: cutover with 170 redirects, payment processing reorganised, the old shop retired.
4
Ongoing development
We have looked after the shop ever since: theme updates without rebuilds thanks to the layer separation, refinements to navigation, search and conversion.
What we built

One system for the brand’s daily business.

01
Shop & theme
A proven theme base plus a custom code layer, cleanly separated: update-safe and quick to adapt.
02
PIM integration
The PIM leads: products, images and customs data flow into the shop automatically, maintained in one place.
03
ERP connection
Stock, shipping and invoices run through the connected ERP: one data flow instead of double maintenance.
04
Three languages
German, English and Dutch maintained centrally in one shop and controlled per language.
05
SEO & guidance
18 categories and 21 buying-guide pages, from size finder to fabric guide: visibility that sells.
06
Email & trust
Klaviyo for newsletters and flows, Trusted Shops and accessibility in line with German BFSG rules.

Approach and technology

Standard where it works. Custom where it counts.

The custom code layer stays cleanly separated from the theme standard. That is how we have updated the theme across several versions since go-live without rebuilding, while the brand gets exactly the features its business needs.
